Kairaranga
Through the Tū Mai Taonga project, Ngāti Rehua Ngātiwai ki Aotea is helping our people to reclaim Te Reo Māori and the practices of Karanga and Whaikōrero on the marae. We hope that in the future, we will have an abundance of speakers and callers to preserve our traditional practices for our future generations.

This is part of a wider Kairaranga pilot, now funded by the Department of Conservation, that aims to enable Māori to re-indigenise conservation by bringing traditional Māori knowledge, language and practices into conservation work.
